Definition of Book Conditions


New - A book that is unread and has no marks or defects.

Like New - A book that may have been read & used slightly but that has no odvious defects or signs of age or wear. May have slight shelf scuffing or Dust Jacket Flare. A "Like New" book is in gift quality condition. All specific defects will be noted in the book "Condition" section.

Very Good - A book that may have only very minor signs of age or wear. "Very Good" books do not have any tears or major damage to the pages or binding & any marks must be contained only on non-text areas of the book, such as fly pages, inside cover, or outside edges of pages. All specific defects will be noted in the book "Condition" section.

Good - A book that shows general signs of age and wear. The spine may be cracked, shelfback faded, or pages may have yellowed. This book may also contain markings or highlighting. All specific defects will be noted in the book "Condition" section.

Acceptable - A Reading Copy. All pages intact, but showing significant signs of age and wear. This book may have defects such as damage to its spine or cover & may also contain markings or highlighting. All specific defects will be noted in the book "Condition" section.
